A sperical experience--The research paper

Recently, I was working with the final research paper. Actually, this is my first time to write a research in English. When I was in China, I only practiced writing short compositions in English. However, after I came to America, I find that we need try to write different essay which is much longer. Since it’s not a easy job to write a research paper, I came up with a lot of difficulties when doing the research. The first big difficult is choosing the topic. As we know, there are too many topics available for us to choose. But, which topic can be the best one for you? Finally, I made the decision and my topic is why more and more Chinese students go back to their home countries when finish their study in America because I think this is really a hot topic not only in China but also in America. And I found that there are many differences between now and past so I chose this topic and prepared to write. However when I started doing the research I found that I cannot find enough useful information in English. When I was using the Google, I really couldn’t make it helpful. Then I tried to get some information in Chinese website and I got some useful information. As the information is in Chinese, I need to translate it into English. Then when I was writing the research paper with the information I found that I was not very familiar with the organization of the research and my essay is not like a research. Fortunately, under the help from the teacher Azimi, I reformed my essay to a research paper. In a word, I think the research paper is OK because it’s just my first one.
I think the most valuable educational enlightenment I experienced is that we shouldn’t be afraid of difficulties and if we can persevere we will conquer them. And I think that we need to try to write different kinds of English essay, it will help improve our English. At last, wish all my classmates to do well in their research papers.

The reaction of the movie Terminator

If you want to ask me what my favourite movie is, I will tell you that the Terminator is one of my favourite movies and I have been fond of them for many years.
When I was still in the primary school, I watched the Terminator 2. It's a little strange that I didn't watch the Terminator 1 at first. Actually, when I first saw the movie, I didn't know there was already a first part, which was really very popular in 1980's. Although I knew nothing about the scenario of the first one, I was still attracted by this wonderful movie deeply. It's so great that it not only shows the fantastic terminators but also express the emotion of the characters especially the love between the terminator and human. When the terminator melted himself in the steelmaking pot at the end of the movie, I was too moved to cry. I have never thought that human can develop such a deep friendship with a robot. So, when I was still young, the movie Terminator 2 had given me such a good and deep impression.
Then, several years later when I entered the high school, I happened to watch the Terminator 3 on TV. The terminator was still acted by Aronold Schwarzenegger, who was still as strong as before. And the story happened 10 years later than the second one. However, the action was still great and the scenario was as fantastic as before. There is no doubt that I was shocked by this wonderful movie again. I felt as if I went back to the past, when I saw the Terminator 2 for the first time.
After I watched both of the 2nd and 3rd of the Terminator, I found I really like them very much. However, I hadn't seen the first one yet. It's really a pity that it's never showed on the TV but maybe it was and I missed it. At last, the chance came; after I graduated from the high school; I got access to the Internet and found the movie on it. I was so happy that I couldn't help to watch it. Then, finally, I finished all of them and knew all the story of the Terminator. I think it's really great and there is no wonder that many people like it so much.
Now, I heard that the Terminator 4 will be showed later and I think I will watch it immediately after it comes out to continue a dream of an wonder robot--The Terminator.

Report of my research experience

Recently, we are doing something for our research. My topic is why more and more Chinese students come back to their home country after they finish their study abroad.

The reason for me to choose this topic is because it’s really a new phenomenon now. Many years ago, most Chinese students choose to stay abroad to work and live after they finished their study abroad because they thought the economy and environment are much better than China. But now, the situation changed, more and more students come back after they finish their study abroad. Now, China is developing at a very high speed. Its economy is booming. And students may find there are more opportunities in China than in other countries and working in their home country can really benefit them in many aspects.

I have searched some information on the internet and find some famous and successful businessmen who have had their own experience of studying abroad, especially in America. So, I think this information must be very helpful. And I also find some information about Chinese economy of these 2 or 3 years, I think they will be very helpful. I think the librarian is very helpful because she taught us how to use the library system for searching the information we want although I haven’t searched any information from the system.

I think doing the research can help us improve our writing skill and build our vocabulary. What’s more, it can help practice our skills for searching the valuable information through many methods. However, sometimes, I find it really very hard to find the information I want and I am not sure if my topic is fit for me to write, so I am still hesitating if I should choose this topic. And, as we know, we should write at least 5 pages in our research, which is really a can of worm. Do you know? I haven’t ever written such a long article in English before. This is my first time trying to write so many words and I don’t know if I can mange it. Anyway, I wish I can and I wish all my classmates can finish their work successfully and give this semester a good result.

Another fighter, Obama

Now, Obama made another speech on race and politics, which are both very important topics. It seems that he is always so glib that such a topic can take him so long time to talk about. But, anyway, I always consider him to be a wise person, maybe also the best choice for the president.
Today, he talked about the race and politics. They seem to the most classical topics that even every president would concentrate on them before they were elected. And they made a lot of promise saying I will do what what and I think we should solve the race problem and so on.
However, not all of them really dealt with the problem when they were in power. What's worse, for example, the President Bush did nothing that really benefits different races of people while he led the Iraqi War to make his army tread on the innocent Iraqi people. That's really very bad!
Obama also choose to talk about this topic and he made a lot of comments about black and white people. He wants every race of people to be fair, no matter black, white or Asian. Maybe for the reason that he himself is half white and half black, he will really do something about the race problem and I hope he will do so. Because it's really very important to solve the racial discrimination. Then we can have a real fair and beautiful country.
As we know, America has been a big melt pot of different kinds of races since its birthday. Its reasonable immigration policy has attracted a large number of people to come from their home countries to the USA. For example, in California, there are a lot of people from Mexico, China, Vietnam, Korea and many other Asian countries. Sometimes, when I am on the corner of the street and see many different races of people driving their cars to every direction, I feel that it's such a harmonious society that every race can get along with each other peacefully and friendly.
When Martin Luther King made his most famous speech 'I have a dream' about 25 years ago, the world was shocked. And Martin is really a freedom fighter and did a lot of meaningful things for black people. Today, I wish Obama, maybe the future president of America, to be another Martin and to take a brighter future of the great kingdom and the whole world.

A Chinese song in Vietnamese

Today, I happened to find a Vietnamese song online.Its name is "Thâm goi tên anh", sung by Minh Tuyêt,a Vietnamese singer.
Actually, this song is firstly made and sung by a Chinese singer called Zhou Chuanxiong about 5 years ago. And this song's Chinese name means Dusk, which was very popular in China when it first be sung.
Although it's not my first time to listen to a Chinese song in other language, I still feel very fresh and happy. So,I have just posted it to share with you. But maybe only Vietnamese can understand the lyric, but I think it doesn't matter because the melody is very great too.

A really stupid motion---Pakistan causes worldwide Youtube outage

After reading the article “Pakistan causes worldwide Youtube outage”, I came up with a lot of feelings and the strongest one is that I think it’s really a stupid motion.
As we know, Youtube has been the most popular website of video in America, almost everybody knows it and goes to see all kinds of videos on it everyday. In my home country, China, there are also many video websites like Youtube such as Youku, Tudou, Ou-ou, Ku6 and so on. They are all very popular and competing with each other fiercely. And they also contain the video all over the world. However, I can not find any videos about some political topics which make people sensitive such as The Tiananmen Square protests in 1989, What’s more, I can not find any information about it on any Chinese websits. I think the government just wants to hide something they think they have done wrong. But, now, when I am on the Youtube, I can find a lot of information about many political topics and I can see many people’s comment of such kind of affairs, it’s totally different from my home country.
So, I think the government does not need to block anything and what they should do is just to make our country better. If they really benefit the citizens, they will not be afraid of people’s knowing the political affairs that make them sensitive.
Now, I am in America, I find it’s really a kingdom of liberty and people can make any comments on government. They can say what is right and what is wrong. Even they can shout “President Bush, please fall out of power and get away from the White House”. And I think only a government which is under the criticism of nationals can really get better improvement. Do you think so?

A Chinese temple in America

On last Saturday, I went to a Chinese temple with my aunt and grandma in Hacienda Heights, a city near Rowland Heights. Maybe you don’t know neither of them. There is no wonder that they are not as famous as Monterey Park or Chinatown, but they are now the new and developing cities of Chinese. And more and more Chinese people are moving to them.
This Chinese temple is called Hsi Lai Temple and this is my first time to visit a Chinese Temple in another country. I think it’s big and magnificent. What’s more, it’s new, because it’s has just been built for less than 20 years. There were quite a lot of visitors there and it took us about ten minutes to find the place for parking. Then we visit several Buddhas and had the lunch there. Only 5 dollars, you can eat all the vegetarian food there until you are full, a great deal, right? At least I think so, because vegetables are much more expensive than meat in America. And I think the food there is really very delicious.
The Hsi Lai Temple not only spread the Buddhism, but also help develop the friendship between China and America. So, I think it’ really a good place to visit. If you have time on weekends, just have a visit, it’s will not let you down.
